About
A little about me …
I am currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Education combined with International Studies, at the University of Technology, Sydney. I am in my second year of the degree at the moment, and I am creating this blog as a part of my course, for the subject titled E-Learning in the Primary School.
My decision to become a teacher was made while I was living in Guatemala a year and a half ago. I was living in a small town in the mountains called Panajachel. While I was there I was offered a position as a teacher’s assistant in a small school called AMA (Atitlan Multicultural Academy). For 6 months I was the assistant in a composite class made up of students in grades 1, 2 and 3, for the subjects of Language Arts, Math and Social Studies. It was this experience that convinced me that I wanted to become a primary teacher. Eventually, I would like to go back to Guatemala and teach in a school like AMA.
